Garden Blog From the Woodland Project- Nov 2022

Elsham Hall Country Park was born out of a love for the natural environment where children could run freely. That was the dream of our founder the late Captain Elwes. This is why we decided to create a whole new area where the birds sing, families gather for picnics and children can run.

"The last two months have been so busy!! The clearance of self seeded trees plus a whole lot of wilderness is almost complete and the autumn weather is definitely being kind to us too, so the levelling groundwork is looking great.

This November the park is closing for scheduled maintenance, therefore we're grabbing the opportunity to treat our Indian Eagle owls to a super refurb of their enclosure and our Lady Amherst Pheasants will be temporarily moving into the Walled Garden whilst their brand new aviary is being built. The area is certainly looking a little bare, especially now that the old tractor and machinery have also been moved to their new home whilst the work goes on. Exciting times ahead, watch this space!"
